Well...it's that time of two years again! All of the dye in my hair has just recently come out. I get my hair done by a professional, because I'm horrible at doing it myself (and it ruins your hair more). =P

So, how can I dye my hair white (or a really pale/platinum blonde).

What is the process of dying your hair white?

How long will it take on a sholder-length (layered) haircut?

How much damage will I do to my hair (my natural state is a dark brunette)?

How much should this cost?

Will white look good on a slighty tanned skin tone?

And also, how long will it take for roots to show (my hair grows at a slow rate)?

if your skin is light itll probably look good but make sure its not too dark or itll look weird

i bleached my hair before dying my hair and its practically the same thing..

for our shade of hair color. itll take a really long time. trust me. maybe at least an hour or more.

but youre going to have to keep dying if you dont want your roots to show

if you plan on dying your WHOLE head white. umm. i dont know about that.

but if you plan on putting small portions i suggest you dye it under a couple of layers of hair

i like when people dye their hair white....but it can damage it badly....so maybe ask ur hairstylist about wat it wuld do 2 ur hair???

White hair requires ALOT of bleaching. It's best to go to a hairstylist than to do it yourself, but it's still going to damage your hair pretty badly. It strips almost everything from your hair. Also, you may think roots take a long time to show but if you have darker hair you will notice them within the month. I think it looks great on tanner people, but it requires alot of upkeep. It honestly depends on where you go for the price, but i'd imagine around 120 for cut and color at a regular salon. It'll take a while for your hair to be completely bleached.

Doesnt sound like a great idea but if you're set on it then by all means give it a try. I'm guessing there would be some bleaching involved since your natural hair color is dark.

I don't think white will look good with a tan, but white can be done well. It will most likely damage your hair a lot, but if you condition it obsessively, it will be fine.

You can not dye your hair white. You have to basically strip the color off your hair and of course it can do damage. When your hair is white your roots will show very qiuckly. It does not take much pigmentation to show when your hair is white. You will need to process it often and even thougth you are DETERMINED maybe you will realize this is not a good thing to do. Nice healthy dark brunette is MUCH better than stripped, dry and brittle white. Good luck.....
