Even tribal groups who do not color their hair get white hair when older. But, I do recommend a good salon for the right results in color because you can turn your hair, white, green or purple if you do the Clairol thing and you don't time things right or do the wrong color on top of something else. I think it's really a professional's job.

Ok I dye my hair and in my experience it makes your hair get darker. I used to be like a strawberry blonde and a friend got me to try dying and then after I stopped my hair was a dishwater blonde and then I dyed it dark auburn for awhile and when I stopped then my hair was a light ash brown...so it seems like it just gets darker but not white.
